Touch The Art - Krabi Magazine article

If you have ever been to Thailand, you have most certainly noticed numerous galleries peddling a number of oil paintings, they all have one theme running throughout, most of their work is incredibly original.

I found a truly hidden gem in Krabi, I want to tell you about a special gallery located just outside the downtown busy streets of Ao Nang on Nopparat Thara Beach.

Two friends Ying and Chan opened their own gallery in order to present their personal work for passerby’s to admire as they browse the beachfront. In addition to the vast number of unique paintings Ying and Chan also offer tutorial lessons for children and adults alike so you too can make these works of art, (or at least learn how to make them).

Now you cannot only buy a painting form someones else hand, you can now create it yourself.

Ying and Chan offer a crash course which runs for only one or two days or for the visitor who has more time to dedicate their education and artistic growth a more intense course which lasts twelve days is offered.

All across Thailand locally made paintings are becoming increasingly popular among Singaporean and Malaysian visitors, the various styles of Thai paintings can be seen in homes, spas, restaurant, hotel businesses throughout south east Asia. This is great that the work from our creative and interesting Thai artists is getting out into other countries but the work from Ying and Chan is truly something different, for example watercolor painting is commonly used as a medium for painting at All Art, typically all other art shops use only oil paintings.

“Painting is a great way of expressing yourself or of unlocking hidden secrets from inside yourself”

Ying and Chan have extensive teaching experience working with Thai children, from this experience and love of working with Thai children Ying and Chan have both decided to try their best to begin working with foreigner and tourist children alike. So far they have done a wonderful job accommodating their classes and equipment for the new “young group” of tourists.

Whether it be alone with you loved one or with your whole family or maybe just your buddy backpacking around the area, painting can be a wonderful way to spend time together. Open to all ages All art provides you with all the supplies and knowledge to get you on your path to artistic expression.
